Coaching for Creative People

overcome blocks and challenges – and bring forth your creativity

“The future belongs to a very different kind of person with a very different kind of mind – creators and empathisers, pattern recognisers, and meaning makers. These people – artists, inventors, designers, storytellers, caregivers, consolers, big picture thinkers – will now reap society’s richest rewards and share its greatest joys.”  Daniel H.Pink

The talents of creativity can come at a cost – and many people have simply lost sight of their own creativity and gifts.

If you are easily distracted, inconsistent, struggle to keep organised – or feel like you are failing yourself or others, a few sessions of coaching may get you back on track, and feeling more like yourself.

Read the brief summary of coaching below and then please contact me to explore working together.

Why might coaching be a good idea?

With the chaotic emotions and exhaustion that come with these symptoms creative people sometimes lose sight of the pattern of their invaluable strengths:

Spatial awareness, creativity, pattern recognition, the ability to make fruitful connections – lateral thinking - a sharp intuition and keen sense of justice.

Charismatic and talented people can end up overwhelmed by their disorganised lives. In the process, their original thinking style is lost to society as a whole, in a time when we need more 'out-of-the-box' solutions.

I offer coaching to address the very specific needs of each individual.

Work can include dealing with the stress and guilt about the past, organising one’s life to meet personal (emotional) needs better, learning to calm down, reduce anxiety, increase focus – perhaps to overcome the tendency to leave things unfinished; interpersonal skills, thinking things through or breaking down big ideas into manageable, realistic, bite-sized pieces.

Depending on your needs – we might start with a few intensive sessions (of 3 hours), followed by some 90 minute sessions, or plan for a number of 90 minute sessions to start building new routines and responses which will enable you to express more of your talents, more consistently.

You have taught me to integrate better the qualities of my left - and right - brain hemispheres. Instead of wasting energy in chaos and stress, I use it to shape my future more constructively.
